WHAT ARE THE YOGA POSITIONS FOR WEIGHT LOSS?

Yoga is not just an exercise, it is derived from the Sanskrit word Yuj, which means union of body, mind, and emotions. This is why it is getting recognition all over the world and is celebrated as International Yoga Day on the 21st of June. It makes people at peace and increases the acceptance level in society by accepting ourselves first.

Let us discuss some poses for burning fat.

  • Bhujangasana (Cobra pose) – It is performed by lying on the floor on the stomach and then stretching the upper body towards the sky by inhaling air and slowly releasing it while coming back to position
  • Dhanurasana (Bow pose) – It is performed lying in the same position as above then stretching the upper and lower body and holding legs from the hands-on back while inhaling and slowly exhaling.
  • Kumbhakasana (Plank) – It is precisely like a plank that requires lifting the body mid-air straight on both hands and holding it there for a few seconds.
  • Naukasana (Boat pose) – In this pose, you have to sit with your legs stretched out then start slowly by lifting them mid-air towards your head and same time spread your arms out at 45 degrees from the inside of the legs then hold this position for a few seconds and then release.
  • Vasisthasana (Side Plank pose) – This is a little more difficult than the previous two hands plank. In this, you need to get into a position of one hand support from the floor at distance and the chest should face sidewise, and the second hand should be pointing above 180 degrees to the first one.

Besides these above-mentioned asanas, you can also perform daily Surya Namasaka which is also scientifically proven to be helpful in burning calories and weight loss.
